Sustainability Programs Support Officer

  • Salary $71,622.56 to $83,081.25 p/a + super
  • Permanent full-time position – 35 hours per week

About the role

Reporting to the Administration Team Leader and PA to Director Strategy & Environment, you will be responsible for providing administrative and project support to the Environment & Sustainability team within the Strategy & Environment Department.


About You

You will have a solid administration background and a keen interest in providing exceptional support to the team, combined with strong time management/multi-tasking and communication skills – both written and verbal. This role would suit someone with a strong interest and commitment to environment and sustainability.



  • Administrative and secretarial support to the Manager Environment & Sustainability and  his team
  • event/workshop administration – website preparation, updating the event details, managing waitlists and sending reminder emails to course attendees as well as telephone support for our programs;
  • mail outs, purchase and stationery orders, agenda preparation/minute taking;
  • monitoring our sustainability mailboxes – answering questions or forwarding to relevant staff member;
  • project support for environment and sustainability programs;
  • assisting with onboarding of new employees and generally being the go-to person for the team.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Environmental Management or a relevant discipline and / or substantial experience in a similar role
  • WWCC Clearance
  • Experience in a senior secretarial and/or administrative role
  • Experience in the development and delivery of community programs and events
  • Advanced skills in the suites of Microsoft Office applications



  • 35 hour working week

  • Health & Fitness $100 yearly reimbursement (conditional)
