Position Description

  • Salary $78,292.24 - $90,819.56 p/a + super
  • Fixed Term Contract up to March 2019


Located 16 km's north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales' most attractive natural environments.


Council is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the role of Events Coordinator.


This role will see you coordinate, plan and implement Council's annual program of community events.


Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordination of Council community events and programs
  • Collaboration with other departments to manage the logistics of events
  • Management of event budgets and resources
  • Administration duties as required


This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who possesses the ability to work collaboratively in a team to tight time frames while maintaining the provision of consistent, high quality service delivery. 


To be considered for this role, you will require tertiary qualifications in Event Management and/or and substantial experience in a similar role. You will also require excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills and be proficient in the use of personal computer applications, in particular the Microsoft suite of products (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook). A willingness to work flexible hours and a current Class C driver's licence is also required.
