We are looking for a suitably experienced person to carry out asset identification and condition assessments for Council’s assets including roads, car parks, footpaths and retaining walls.
This role will report directly to the Civil Works Coordinator, and will entail undertaking site inspections and conducting investigations pertaining to Council’s assets. You will examine, record and analyse information with minimal supervision, ensuring all asset management systems are kept up to date with your findings. Experience in asset management methodologies – data collection, data entry and retrieval, as well as interpretation and analysis will be utilised.
Knowledge of local government legislation and polices would be desirable, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders – both internal and external. Responding to customer requests are a priority, and experience with working to deadlines and service levels and responding in a timely and courteous manner is essential.
A Current Class C driver’s licence is essential, along with a WorkCover WHS white card. Previous knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) is required, as well as a high level of competency in the use of word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
