  • $36.18/ hr + 25% casual loading
  • Working with Children clearance number
  • Bush Regeneration Experience required

 

Situated just 16 kilometres from the city on Sydney's leafy North Shore, Ku-ring-gai is known for its unique natural and urban environments. Preserving this unique environment for our community and for future generations is a priority for us, as it is for many Ku-ring-gai residents and organisations.

 

Ku-ring-gai Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Bushcare Trainer to join our Environment & Sustainability team on a casual basis.

 

Reporting to the Community Volunteer Programs Coordinator, this role will see you provide support to Council's Bushcare, Streetcare, Parkcare and Wildthings programs and assist with environmental education and environmental awareness campaigns as required. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Working alongside and supporting community Bushcare/Streetcare/Parkcare groups

 

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to engage with key stakeholders and the community at all levels

 

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • Certificate III in Bush Regeneration and/ or previous experience in a similar role
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Current Working with Children clearance number

 

The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours including weekends.
