Position Description

  • Salary $102,783.39 - $119,228.46 p/a + super
  • Tertiary qualifications & experience essential
  • Leaseback vehicle offered


Ku-ring-gai Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced IT professional to join our Information Management team.


Reporting to the Manager Information Management, this role will see you manage the day to day operations of system administration staff as well as coordinating the delivery of end user support services across Council. You will also manage Council's network infrastructure including monitoring network performance, maintaining hardware, installations, repairs and upgrades and lead the planning of system testing associated with upgrades, patches and new system implementations.


Other duties associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordination of all technical projects
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of backup and recovery systems
  • Liaison with vendors and monitoring of vendor performance
  • Providing timely and accurate technical advice to stakeholders
  • Coordination of end user support including the Help Desk
  • Assistance with the development of Service Level Agreements

To be considered for this role you will require relevant tertiary qualifications in IT and/or substantial experience in a similar role.

Previous supervisory and project management experience is essential, along with a current Class C driver's licence.

In-depth knowledge of and experience with Network and data communication systems, Microsoft Office, Windows based applications, Windows desktop and Server operating systems is also a requirement of this position.


This position is 35 hours per week with access to flexi time.
