  • Salary $105,353.04 - $122,208.84 p/a + super

Ku-ring-gai Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional to join our Development Assessment Services team.

 

Reporting to the Team Leader Development Assessment, this role will see you assess development applications, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards and Council policies.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring development assessment is undertaken in a consistent and transparent manner
  • Management and/or assessment of highly complex and/or high profile projects and applications
  • Management of applications where Council is the applicant or may have a conflict of interest
  • Representing Council in court, at panel meetings and on site meetings
  • Providing professional advice to developers and the community
  • Investigating complaints
  • Providing professional guidance to Development Assessment Officers

To be considered for this role you will require tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline and substantial experience in a similar role.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with particular emphasis in the areas of consultation, negotiation and conflict management is also required.

 

This position is 35 hours per week with access to flexi time.
