Position Description

  • Salary $90,820.60 - $105,351.48 p/a + super
  • Tertiary qualifications and experience essential
  • Leaseback vehicle offered


Located 16 km's north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and is set in one of New South Wales' most attractive natural environments.


Council is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the role of Strategic Asset Officer.


Reporting to the Manager Integrated Planning, Property & Assets your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Development and delivery of innovative strategic asset management programs
  • Coordination of asset management systems, and the development of processes, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Assisting in the preparation of strategic and financial asset management information for  statutory reporting
  • Preparation of reports, papers and submissions for senior management
  • Providing timely and accurate technical advice to stakeholders
  • Supervision of consultants and contractors

To be considered for this role you will require tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Finance, Construction or a related discipline and/or and substantial experience in a similar role.

Knowledge of local government legislation and policies is essential, along with effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deliver complex outcomes in a politically sensitive environment.


This position is 35 hours per week with access to flexi time.
