  • Salary $58,182.28 - $67,491.84 p/a + super

 

Located 16 km's north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and is set in one of New South Wales' most attractive natural environments.

 

Council is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the role of Plant Operator – Public Place Cleansing.

 

Reporting to the Supervisor Public Place Cleansing, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Removal of Graffiti and Bill Posters in an environmentally sensitive manner
  • Litter and waste removal
  • Reporting of incidents to Vandal track
  • Plant utilisation and maintenance
  • Handling, storage and applying the use of chemicals in accordance with risk assessment and standard operating procedures
  • WHS risk assessments

 

Required Qualifications/Certificates:

  • Traffic control qualifications
  • MR Driver's Licence
  • White Card
  • Skid Steer, Black Hoe, Excavator licence
  • First Aid Certificate

 

Required experience/skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with specialist plant equipment including high pressure cleaning and plant maintenance
  • Minimum 2 years experience in related field
  • Experience with the collection of waste, litter and dumped rubbish
  • Effective level of communication skills with the public, supervisor and electronic reporting
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment
