  • Salary $135,132.40 - $156,753.48 p/a + super
  • Up to 3 years fixed term contract
  • Min 10 years successful project management experience

 

In the next five years, Ku-ring-gai Council is embarking on several large projects that will result in new capital assets and services, ensuring we meet the growing needs of our community. The Manager Major Projects – Delivery will significantly contribute to these projects that will include libraries, child care facilities, parking areas, green space, community hub projects and associated retail, residential and transport development.

 

Reporting to the Director Strategy & Environment, we are seeking an individual with extensive successful experience overseeing the delivery of complex major development projects to agreed scope, budget and timeframes. Some of the key responsibilities across this role will include:

 

  • Identification of land development opportunities that meet economic, social, environment and risk management frameworks
  • Managing a multi-million dollar project budget requiring advanced financial analysis, including financial performance updates to Senior Management
  • Control contracts, administer project briefs and coordinate resourcing to establish collaborative and effective management of subcontractors and construction firms
  • Provide specialist advice with sound industry knowledge across relevant legislative acts and probity requirements
  • Successfully influence and maintain strong, positive and mutually respectful working relationships across key project stakeholders, colleagues and suppliers, utilising well-developed negotiation and early conflict resolution practices

 

To be considered you will be tertiary qualified, with a minimum 10yrs experience at senior management level, with extensive experience across the acquisition, planning, development, delivery and marketing of a broad spectrum of property development ventures. A current Class C Driver’s Licence is essential.
