Ku-ring-gai Council is seeking an experienced administrative professional to support and facilitate a range of key governance functions within Council.
Reporting directly to the Team Leader Governance, this role includes but is not limited to providing secretarial support to committees and meetings, including organising meeting dates, compilation and distribution of agenda papers, minutes and briefing papers and assisting in meeting room set up. You will also be required to type reports and various administrative correspondences, maintain a variety of council registers and update governance related intranet and website content when required, together with providing support to the Records and Governance Team as required.
Being able to successfully manage competing priorities and high volumes of work effectively within tight timeframes is a key requirement of this position, as is the ability to work with discretion and complete confidentiality.
To be considered for this role, you will have exceptional attention to detail, demonstrated experience providing high level executive support and administrative services and be proficient in the use of personal computer applications, in particular the Microsoft suite of products (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
TRIM Records Management and Info Council Business paper Systems experience is desirable as well as knowledge of GIPA.
Previous experience within the Governance function is not essential as this can be learned through on-the-job training and guidance.
